A friend of mine forwarded an Email he recieved from luxbet, and here is that letter.
We are contacting you to let you know that Luxbet has made a decision, including under the Luxbet Betting Rules and Luxbet Account Terms and Conditions, that we will no longer be accepting bets from you on racing related products. This change is as per 10:15 am today, 6 January 2011”.
We are happy to accept bets on all Sports products.

Actually I am quite chuffed that you are refusing to take bets off me. As you can see I am not a big punter and wonder at your rationale.
Close my account as of now and do not send me any more emails re advertising.
I will be advising all my contacts NEVER to have any further dealings with Luxbet. Including many friends in the racing media.

What a joke this is. I can only assume they are banning me from Racing cos I made a profit.I definitely have not been doing anything outside any rules.
Feel free to put it on the Betfair forum. For your info I opened the Luxbet account back in April 2010 and would have made a profit of about $1800 in say 9 months. I am not a big better and would rarely bet more than $100. Mostly my bets would be $50 max.They've lost me for good and will be advising all my contacts and will mention it to Rod Nicholson when I see him at Caulfield next.
Will write into the Winning Post as well but not sure if they will print cos Luxbet are a big advertiser with them.
Iv'e been readin on this forum how blokes who claim to be small punters that bet with corporates, have been barred.
I know some smarties who are big punters and winners that have been barred.
But I never expected that a mob who advertise their claims of being a leading corporate bookie, would bar a flea like my mate for winning $1800 over a nine month period.
And shame on the media if they continue to print the so called bullsh@t big bets that these bookies claim to take.
It's about time the government brought in legislation, preventing this from happening.
If they don't then the ACCC should sue these fleas for false advertising and discrimination.

I assumed bookmaking was to take bets at the shortest possible price, and make a book around these.
Obviously they do the form on the individual, and if he wins he's barred. In any case the dills that work for these big bookies and make decisions on their behalf, are ex broken down bookies themselves who could never make a go of it. |

I'm starting to agree with Peter L that we need to get rid of corporates.
I think we should have a national gambling tax & licensing which 1. has a 10-20% tax on gross profit 2. national licence that has a rules that you must bet to lose $1k from any one bet and accept bets from any punter 3. ban any commisions or kick backs from TABs Reckon most Corporates would be out of business except those that actually run a book from providing fixed prices. |

However i can never agree with his turnover tax which is just designed to get rid of BF. A tax on gross profits is much fairer as long as it is set a reasonable % |

I've found that sort of debate pointless in the past having been banned or restricted by just about all the Corporates. Only last week the Red Headed Flea decided odds to $20 was enough for me on Metro races. That's not a misprint - he'll risk $20 only.
Would be satisfying to see someone in the media expose these p**s weak toerags for what they are. |

Im well thanks n4f, hope you've had a good xmas/new years and can bounce into 2011 and keep winning! All been pretty quiet here nothing too exciting to report on, races have been ok, looking forward to the tennis enjoy having a bet on it but most of all can't wait for AFL season to get going as for these corps well there is a common trend to them none of em are worth a pie just want to strip the mugs, main problem been there are more than enough mugs pumping their cash through the corps to keep them in business, really think this email that AB posted should be passed on to A Current Affair or something surely they'd love that stuff, if they looking for more proof i will put them onto a mate of mine who jagged a all up with one of the corps (either sporting or sportsbet) payout was $72k, account balance after the race $72k, account balance 4 hours later $50k!!! Rule 109 section B part IV, paragraph 32 all that bullsh!t |
