after reading the uncle thread many memories came back to me.
so lets hear your stories and ask a few questions.
lets see who remembers ?


One day meeting,very late 70's / early 80's.
the betting ring was full with bookies and punters..
just prior to a race a whistle sounds..
punters jump out of trees to plunge on a horse.
horse did not win, ran 3rd i think.
what track was it at ?
name horse ?
name trainer ?
lets see who knows !!

name the horse claimed out of a cheap very early claimer by bulldog.
went on to win plenty of money and races.
also name the previous trainer and where it was trained.

born in the west, worked for jack barron.
went out on my own, became very good trainer / driver.worked on a race track in vic.
VERY good money driver, when they put it on, they usually won.
name the track he worked on also.

the meeting was yarra  glen in those days.....dennis wills trainer. cant  rember the horse
BUSTER  PUNTER  recall it like yesterday was going to put ..a claim in as well but had a wipe out the day before ....buster wentn on and won the GROUP 1 BENSON AND HEDGES in w/a
a great training effort by bully a claimer two group 1 victory

jack barron there was a great man when they bet there  were very htb his son bruce was a legend as ruckman for dandenong  in the association on tv in those days along with frosty mi;ller
drove and trained for a while as well .. STATE LAW was one of my favorite of jack

Whats the Biggest Plunge u guys have seen or been involved in.
Mine was Steven Dove on Tabinaday (Not sure if spelt correct)
I also went home in the back of the float (different Trainer who had one in race) and was asked to put every $100 Grey Nurse bill in piles of 10.
Was a lot of Piles of 10.
I got Paid 2x$100 Grey nurses thought it was Christmas that day.
