the refs did everything cept take a few hit-ups for nsw. i reckon saw at least 15 pens that got away with. would seem a blues victory was high on the hierarchy agenda but qld way too much class.
i posted my origin team prior to game 2 and it excluded ennis for the reason displayed tonight. when the game is in the balance the niggle wont win it in the 21st century. the brain does ( eg: c.smith). sure fire up early and work for the ascendency then use as the platfrom to brain em'...... mortimer, o'connor, stuart, daley, johns, freddy, all had it. lockyer and jt have it and hopefully pearce and whoever finishes up as the regular 5/8 get it.
media beating on about playing more direct etc etc. and i wonder why belamy waits till game 3 to advise his big units and halves to point their chassis towards the goal posts and charge. that is the basics to getting opposition team backpeddling and giving yr outside backs the chance to put one on opposite player and a licence to cutloose. i once played in a team with a 5/8 we called mudcrab, he'd run across field and leave us with about 5m to get smashed into touch. so after 3 games we positioned ourselves so as not to be able to receive a pass... he got smashed 6 times in a row before realised to go straight was better for his health and the teams success.
bye bye bellyache, daly, fulton yr time is up
anyway just my 2 bobs worth! a shame it all over cause it beats the regular round footy by a mile. also anyone suss on the both feet out of bounds catching the kick off rule. i thought needed one foot in field of play to force the penalty restart???
