that might be the key to him - he got a good run across and a cheap lead 2 runs ago, and held on well in decent class

I might need to add my dog to this thread if he doesn't stop easing & improve on his 2 from 38 record. He just doesnt like dogs on his outside or inside.

didn't bet at sale sunday - just watched it now - that is the only way kaygee will win a race these days!

only a 28 day sale suspension, 10 day injury stand down and STAT - watch for him to appear somewhere soon

can't rub them out as we need dogs to race to fill all the Shychannel gaps. Will get worse soon (March) as we need another 4 meetings in Vic to cover the new channel. As much as I agree with you, if we do what you say then we will have whippet races to cover the gaps.

Am i reading this right?? Son Of Senna got 7 days? and only has to perform 1 Sat Trial, biggest joke i've ever seen. GRV basically admitting they have massive problems with trying to fill boxes for all its Tab commitments

Octane Spark was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Acting under GAR 69(1)(b) stewards charged Octane Spark with a failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Shepparton and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT, pursuant to GAR 69 (2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Son Of Senna was vetted following the event and re-vetted after 20 minutes. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a muscle injury to the right shoulder. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(5), the stewards charged Son Of Senna with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT before any future nomination will be accepted.

Geelong Race 12 last Night
Supreme Darkness won,
It led, eased halfway thru race, waited for them (even Ronny Hawkswell picked it up in the call).

When they caught it, dog got going again, loafed up the straight.
No surprise the GRV stewards didn't see a thing
Before last night, dogs record was
30 starts, 1 win, 13 2nds, 6 thirds
I wonder why it has a record like that???lolololol

I understand that GRV are trying to fill boxes for Tab commitments, and i have a suggestion for them.
They are always talking about giving as much money as they can in prize$$.
No need to have stewards imo, sack them as they really do nothing and pour their wages into more prizemoney

didn't see the race PA, but do know the dog - i was on him at healesville boxing day - chased awfully there, ran 2nd after looming up to win

the common thread with son of senna (100 starts - 4 wins, 40 placings) and supreme darkness is that they are trained by hacks - no decent trainer would persist with dogs that never win races...so perhaps another way to save money is to reduce place prizemoney? these 2 dogs are only being sent around for place money - i wonder what the reaction of the majority of trainers who actually attempt to win races would be to such a proposal? would of course suit big kennels even more, but as long as total stakemoney stayed the same it should all even out over time - for those trainers who have dogs that want to win races, that is...

ttt in anticipation of 3 grade 5 725m heats at the meadows tonight...

keep an eye particularly on

race 4 - 1 Princess Keato and 9. Glamorous Jayde
10. greysynd united will probably tail off anyway, but is also dodgy

race 9 - 2. stanhill james - has plodded well enough to win by small margins at his last 2 - interesting to see how he goes against 4. Symmetry, who is bred to stay all day and has a huge motor...

race 2

Smokin' Ichiban was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's left wrist. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Acting under GAR 69(1)(a) stewards charged Smokin' Ichiban with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at The Meadows and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Prince Mattan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a Spike Wound Right Hind, no stand down period was imposed.

Acting under GAR 69(1)(a) stewards charged Prince Mattan with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28days at Cranbourne and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zig, Lies...and anyone else

Stanhill James....We all know it is a nonny and plenty of times they coulda pinged it...But at what stage of the race did they "ping" it for Sat night.
Was just watching replays and astounded when The Hawk announced before Race 11 that it got 28 days.
Rewound my replays back to Race 9...Was it when it was pushing under the pink? may have turned it's head for 2 strides, but was in a tight spot and seemed to try hard to get past it pretty quick. If they pinged it for that must've been a keen steward down the back straight.

Or maybe GRV have decided they will be like the Oscars..and issue tickets for a greyhounds "body of work" rather than the current performance.
