Hi Guys,

Just read an article predicting the men's top 10 players in 2018, dont know what to make of it, here is the list,

10- Jack Sock,
9  - Jerzy Janowicz,
8  - Ernests Gulbis,
7  - Bernard Tomic,
6  - Kei Nishikori,
5  - Novak Djokovic,
4  - Milos Raonic,
3  - Andy Murray,
2  - Benoit Paire,
1  - Grigor Dimitrov

Anyone agree with the article/prediction? :) Particularly the top 3? Silly

poor USA, if Sock is their best

they must asume Potro has finished his career due to injury. Murray ahead of Djoker will never happen

That is a terrible list. Firstly no research has gone into that, it's just players who are already on tour. Murray already has more physical problems than Djokovic does. Paire number 2 ffs lol. Tennis will have to be in the total s**ter if Paire is number 2.

Fwiw.. Delpo in the 60s was the lowest of the current top 10 5 years ago, and I think the rest were in the top 20 and about half top 10

Yeah, someone put together a very useful list in that other thread Excited
As far as Paire being #2, this list was made by L'Equipe so that probably explains that.

comparing 2008 with 2013 tells you some changes have to come in the next 5 years, will be unlikely not to have most exchanged within 10 years

A good point. I guess it will be interesting to see how long this current crop of players. Fitness levels have gone up infinitely in tennis in the last 20 or so years, the physicality is way up, it's kind of an unknown, will these players have shredded themselves by the late 20s or will they still be going into their early 30s.

The transition is going to be kind of sad in that I think it will come more down to the decline of the top players than the rise of those below.
