Going by the latest vt from the house, the housemates returning might be limited to them appearing on a screen with Rylan, I think that takes fears away that we would be reliving punchgate again.
With the fluctuations I've turned my book around from looking at a small lose to level the field and a small green Kirsty, I think that is where I'll leave things in what has been a decent 2nd half of a series of BB.

I've had to bail out and take a big hit. Ryan's edit was unfortunately too good last night and Kirstie's "Cheers"-style bar might just appear to people as favouritism by C5 for their preferred winner. If Ryan shrinks to 1.2 again at any stage I may reduce my K red a little.

This is the one time in a long while where I've briefly taken a big liability instead of just backing long odds for small amounts then trading. Being hit by such a weird "Black Swan" event has been a real killer, especially as it was so close to the point where I was going to close the trade.

Sadly a friend of mine took his own life recently, despite being massively popular in my social scene, almost like a cult rock star. So I remind myself that I should be grateful that my main worries are chiefly about money, not deep-seated personal demons. It helps keeps things in perspective.

Sorry to hear about your friend VV. How did he do it, was he sober? You don't have to answer that of course. I just can't imagine it. It's scary to think how many happy-go-lucky, larger-than-life, overtly successful people each of us might know who is internally battling some kind of undiagnosed psychosis or severe depression that could lead them to suicide. I've lost two friends like this in less than two years.

If anyone on here ever feels that way drop the facade and reach out - people care way more than you might expect.

Roxy getting panic attacks on the island, even if hammed up a bit, explains a lot about her psyche. Having myself had a gf that suffered from them it was astounding to see how something minor would quickly escalate. She too had a history of thinking various guys had tried to do bad things to her throughout her life, including trusted work colleagues at office parties. The difference was she rationalized it afterwards as being possibly imagined or much exaggerated cos of heavy drinking or drugs altering her sense of reality.

Roxy not saying in her interviews how mad she had been means she's still mad.

The wider thing is just one of many consequences emanating from us men losing our confidence and vitality and becoming pathetic.
