As David Davis resigns saying we have already given too much away.

As Gove admits that we are probably going to make more concessions.

As The Tories move ever closer to Sir Keir Starmers long held well thought out crystal clear plan.

As more and more leavers are saying; all the above plans leave us worse off than if we stay in the EU.

Now cometh the game changer. Now cometh the clown. or is he the trickster King ala Trump.

Now cometh the resignation of Boris. He has not quit just to blow raspberries from the back benches.

Its a leadership challenge innit.

Is there going to be a leadership contest?

Not a realistic leadership challenge....BJ probably now finished as a serious politician

Just been reading, that rumour has it that the required 48 letters of no confidence in Teresa May have been delivered.
Report Dr Crippen July 9, 2018 7:48 PM BST
The favourite to take over from May is Sajid Javid.

If they make him the next leader they might as well just give the keys of No 10 to Corbyn.
Report posy July 9, 2018 8:53 PM BST
May will stay as pm for forseeable future
Report SontaranStratagem July 9, 2018 9:24 PM BST
2022 you've got to wait to get rid of them

May probably wont stay around until then once the sham is done and dusted and locked in for 2 generations

By then once people have forgotten and their rights stripped bare they wont have much choice anyway

What 'rights' will have gone?
Report enpassant July 9, 2018 10:14 PM BST
Employment for a start.

This government have broken the law any number of times already so what would the right do with 5 years of freedom to burn the rights of the masses.....burn baby burn !
Report Dr Crippen July 9, 2018 10:22 PM BST
Sir Keir Starmers long held well thought out crystal clear plan.

Which is to keep us in the EU on worse terms than we had before we voted to leave.
Report InsiderTrader July 9, 2018 11:23 PM BST
What employment rights?

The snoopers charter was done whilst we were in the EU. The EU itself is trying to force AI algorithms to shut down free speech on the internet. These are real 'rights' that are going.

Zero hours - employment tribunals - do you think these the rancid Tory party are all for the workers ? Come along IT we all know their ideology takes them.

A senior Tory source said it seems "pretty certain" that 48 letters would be lodged to spark a leadership challenge.

From the Daily Express.

^

I thought zero hours started under Labour whilst we were INSIDE the EU.

You would rather trust the EU rather than our own leaders to set our regulations? So if Corbyn wants to give workers the right to earn $15 an hour and the EU did not allow it you would be happy?
Report enpassant July 10, 2018 12:35 AM BST
I wouldn't trust a Tory government period.
Let's be clear and concise here IT.
You asked what rights ?
I suggested some that the rancids are ideologically predisposed to implementing.
I then went on to rant a little about just how scummy this Tory party are and may get, given the freedom to make hay.

Holding a view on these things doesn't mean I believe everything the EU does is right and proper. I am not suggesting the EU is some kind of eden but it is further down the road to the kind of world I would like to see. This country is hell bent on turning back time to a more insular age.
Please don't distort my words to some sort of odd tangent please.

Zero hour contract - In Japan they have pretty stringent building regulations because of earthquakes. When fairly new buildings collapsed from a strong but not particularly strong event ; they looked at the company that built them - they were within the regs - however on every single regulation the company chose the lowest  quality and cheapest supply as possible. When the state spoke of this it was in utter disbelief that a company would behave in such a way. This company took it to the extreme for their own benefit. If this was in England that company would be the Tory party.
Report InsiderTrader July 10, 2018 12:38 AM BST
The country has a choice to vote the Tories out and bring in Labour if they want a highly regulated economy.

We did need an unelected official to tells us what to do. We are more than capable of a electing our own Councils and Governments to did it.
Report enpassant July 10, 2018 12:50 AM BST
This may be an opportunity to ask for real change from the EU. Let's suppose we went back to them and suggested elections were the way to go and we would stay in if they were prepared to seriously look at this. If they refused to even consider such a proposal now or in the near future; you may well find many remainers jumping to the leave side. This would strengthen our position in negotiations for brexit, win win. Just a thought.

...and ditching the pound and picking up the euro as a requirement of rejoining.  Sometimes the status quo is the safest option.  Rather than trying to strike up trade deals with the likes of timbuktu.
