news broke a couple days ago when Aldo was told by the UFC that conor would actually be able to keep his featherweight belt even though he is not defending it, after dana said he would be stripped if conor chose not to defend it in his next fight.

Sucks for aldo, not sure what to make of all this tbh, it's starting to get out of hand now, look at what happened to khabib/t-ferg/wonderboy amongst others. belt's need to be defended against the #1 contender, but UFC is entertainment also and the big $ fights are often not the top ranked guys.

dana let slip in a inteview that somethings gonna happen win or lose after alvarez fight and he said they have something planned and that hes gonna let conor announce it after the fight so dont really know what tbh i think if he wins or loses hes dropping the featherweight belt whos knows really but your right sucks big time for aldo and lets be honest when the conor and alvarez fight was anoounce we were all thinking man conor runs the ufc he really does do what he wants LOL

dana made himself look silly tbh as he said conor had to either drop the featherweight or defend it so proves mcgregor has dana on strings and yeh the old saying money talks

yeh seems aldo is regretting turning down mcgregor when he had the chance at UFC 196

**** Aldo, and if you're down with Aldo, then **** you, too Laugh

Dana has new bosses, so not beyond the realms of possibility that they're having more of an input than has previously been the case.
