What chance have you got. ffs.
Report stridingedge October 17, 2018 6:51 PM BST
collectors Item Mick introducing one to beat a rival like that.
Report sparrow October 17, 2018 6:51 PM BST
Depends on whether you were a layer or not.
Report 11kv October 17, 2018 6:51 PM BST
Yeh but it's for Charity
Report handtorofe October 17, 2018 6:53 PM BST
There going overboard about it be surprised if it backs it up
Report themightymac October 17, 2018 6:58 PM BST
Probably never win another race.
Report onlooker October 17, 2018 6:58 PM BST
Whilst appreciating that some of these big price bets are both BOT Matching and PART of BOOK BALANCING ...

- surely you have to purposely Stake £122  for that bet at Betfair STARTING PRICE.

............................ Backers' Stake  Layers' Liability

175.4   Betfair SP             £122    £21,337

I'd take the view that is probably a useful horse. Probably wasn't even supposed to be off and still won, beating all the form horses.
Report RothmanMike October 17, 2018 7:00 PM BST
This is Newcastle.
One of these results every meeting.
You have been warned previously so no excuses if you lay the big 'uns.
Report themightymac October 17, 2018 7:01 PM BST
Look on the bright side, better backing the 2nd than laying the winner.
Report 11kv October 17, 2018 7:01 PM BST
Don't believe the trainer would let that happen...
Report Barton Bank October 17, 2018 7:05 PM BST
I'd be surprised if there's many people laying anything at that sort of price unless they are using automated software to lay a book.
Report Barton Bank October 17, 2018 7:05 PM BST
I think it was just sent up there for a run and has caught connections by surprise tbh.
Report RothmanMike October 17, 2018 7:09 PM BST
Barton, I lay at those prices but some tracks I ever touch,Chepstow & Newcastle aw are two of them.
Report Barton Bank October 17, 2018 7:11 PM BST
You'd lay one horse in a race at that sort of price?
Report wisewords October 17, 2018 7:23 PM BST
I back big prices but I skipped this race. Gutted!
Report onlooker October 17, 2018 7:28 PM BST
You must have an enormous amount of bets - wisewords ...

- and, consequently - an enormous amount of Losers, too.
Report RothmanMike October 17, 2018 7:30 PM BST
Yes Barton - 20 bets daily.
No Losers last week, none so far this week.
Report handtorofe October 17, 2018 7:42 PM BST
I would take Newcastle form with a pinch of salt Barton I know it looked well on top at the finish but came past very tired horses if they rate that above 80 I will be keen to take it on.
Report Barton Bank October 17, 2018 8:00 PM BST
Fair enough.
Report RothmanMike October 17, 2018 8:04 PM BST
Surface apparently very deep and with slight uphill finish, makes the form unreliable.
Bit like Towcester, the form doesn't travel.
Report wisewords October 17, 2018 8:05 PM BST
are your bets inplay or pre-race Mike?

at least 5 winners above 50 inplay since 4:30pm today in UK racing, including a 175sp.
Report RothmanMike October 17, 2018 8:07 PM BST
Pre-race.
I don't play in 2-y-o races for obvious reasons.
Report themightymac October 17, 2018 9:39 PM BST
If you lay them for even just a score, that is 400 a day profit (less commission) but you would need thousands in your pot. Good going Mike. Is that Hayley in your photo?
Report gal October 17, 2018 11:06 PM BST
Mike is that you on the picture you look well mate
Report RothmanMike October 18, 2018 9:18 AM BST
It is Mr Wiltshire, with my mate Hayley at Yarmouth  Cool
Report RothmanMike October 18, 2018 9:21 AM BST
Speaking with Kevin (Betfred) yesterday , who says he sees you working at Chelmsford regularly.
