For some strange reason King seems to rate Harley.

Bookmakers would no doubt love to see this one and Wissahickon beaten.

Let's see what happens.

Many of us here rate Martin Harley.
King needs a win from Elgin to get it into the Ebor and this is it's selected race from three weekend entries. He took it out of a race last week due to the ground and this presumably is no better for it.

From what I have read there are a fair few who don't rate him as well.

Both horses mentioned pretty weak in the market suggesting that bookmakers have a fair chance of getting both beaten.

It comes to something when the only one punters are wading into is a long odds on shot.

Bookmakers 2 Punters 0

You couldn't get two more pathetic favourites on a relatively big day.

Winner has bolted up, but as regards Harley he has ridden a horse racing freely on a notably long rein (compared to everyone else in the field who had a tight hold) and then almost certainly challenged on the wrong part of the track.

Gosden having a nightmare week at Newmarket so far. Several well fancied and none in the first 3. He did get one at Ascot but only after a Stewards.

I was hoping that Elgin would run well for Elite but I did wonder how he would step up from 3 very weak races on the flat to a hot handicap like that today.
