Easy money (for the stopped clock and his immediate family).
A quick way to the poorhouse if you follow him blind. His record given his access to privileged inside information is shocking.

By lazarus2 on 12 May 12 17:50 koi, I can assure you that I have never initiated antagonism but have responded in kind when attacked. It is my belief that the time to stop has arrived. I apologise to you for previous, uncalled-for taunts
By lazarus2 on 12 May 12 17:45 I mean the general way in which we argue. Why don`t we call a truce? I`m sure that many others would be most grateful.
By lazarus2 on 12 May 12 17:42 ngu it is my belief that we should stop squabbling for the sake of the rest of the forumites - do you think that a good idea?
By lazarus2 on 12 May 12 18:13 The plan is to move forward in the interests of the whole forum and to forget past differences.
By lazarus2 on 12 May 12 18:05 ngu I am trying to move away from previous issues for the sake of all of us rather than going over old ground. I hope that you will join me.
By lazarus2 on 12 May 12 17:56 Thank you - I understand your scepticism but can assure you I am sincere.

elvissss...wouldn't think he'd be into birds...choirboys apparently more to his taste..that's probably why he lurks around a predominantly male forum looking for abuse from everyone

Johngrace - yes, good place to play and the staff look after you. I have seen the hotel advertise on the telly during Royal Ascot week. Bit of a maze trying to find the band changing room, but the gluten free sandwiches during the interval was a plus for me. Unlike a gig I did at the Grand Hotel in Brighton for a BBC event were the band were given mouldy sandwiches (I kid you not). We couldn't really complain as we didn't pay for them!

Sounds wonderful; if you are jazzing in and around the South of England we will almost certainly have mutual contacts but I won`t go in that any further here for obvious reasons (of my own making admittedly!). What do you play?

Drums/Percussion - most styles, but prefer backing singers (male or female) on swing style stuff mainly from the Great American Songbook. Used to play trad, but got bored with that years ago and now moved on. Latin is one of my preferred styles.

An Evening with Sir Tim Rice MBE Friday 1 May 2015
At the end of the talk, Sir Tim took several questions from the floor, including one from H C, who asked, "Is there a musical that you'd have liked to have written and didn't?" To which, the answer is My Fair Lady!
Mr Ford demonstrated his famous networking skills and didn't miss an opportunity to hobnob with Sir Tim before he left for his supper!
Mr Ford: Hello Sir Tim, we have had a simply wonderful month of profit-making thanks to my other idols Sir Tom and Sir Hugh. We simply nip in & out, a few minutes work each day and wonderful profits are achieved year in year out etc.......
Sir Tim: Is that the time? I really must be going.
