Last Thursday evening I withdrew £150 from my Betfair account and £100 from my Corals.
My Corals money was in my account Sat morning, but my Betfair withdrawal didn't arrive until Tuesday!

How can that be?
Don't they all use the same BACS transfer scheme?

It's poor really ain't it?

Could someone from Betfair explain why they can take your money instantly but not pay you for 4/5 days?

It's called profiteering - it's easy enough to withdraw from you bank account within seconds - should take no more than a couple hours these days.

About 4 years ago they said they were investigating faster payments. As with everything this company does the customer experience comes bottom of their list of things to get right. They treat us like dirt.

When you can transfer money instantly between banks these days it is disgusting it can take up to 5 days to get YOUR OWN money from Betfair.

like bilbo said , betfair said something about implementing faster payments years ago

it will be on one of the forum chat threads

I'm an expert on this subject. I bank with HSBC. withdrawals via your debit card will hit your account 2 working days later, so a withdrawal made Monday you will have Wednesday, for HSBC thats usually between 6 and 8pm. at weekends it changes, Withdrawals you make Thu/Fri/Sat you will recieve Mon eve, WD's made Sun you will recieve Tues eve.

If you want it quacker then Poppdog is spot on, Paypal is the way forward, PP Withdrawals take an average of 12 hours.

The exact amount that left Betfair at 1:49pm could have been in my account by 1:50am (12 hours later)

I did it the next morning and it leaves and arrives both at 09:35am
There are no deductions or charges, whatsoever.
To the penny, whatever leaves Betfair can be in your current account balance in 12 hours

Obviously the 12 hours is fair enough for Betfair to claw back any wrong-doing or dodginess.
There's no problem with that

To be fair to Betfair they imposed a minimum 12 hour withdrawal period after the big problems they had on their poker site a few years back when a lot people managed to receive "free" money when the software failed late one night. My withdrawals are always in my Skrill account just over 12 hours after withdrawal.

£6 to get your money next day. Scandalous!
