if any trainer feels that the ground not safe at any track they should be able to withdraw their greyhounds without any consequences

Sunderland is probably the most unsafe track in the country for top flight racing greyhounds.  The first bend is a disaster, as most races demonstrate.
Trainers who support these events and travel hundreds of miles to do so deserve much, much better.
Poor Kevin Boon, he must be gutted, after losing Freddie to serious injury and now losing Murrys altogether - both after excellent service to our sport.

Couple weeks back Barry O,Sullivan took same action independently at Crayford, where he felt the track was unsafe. As a contract trainer at the track that's a very bold step to take.  It takes brave trainers to be concerned for the welfare of their greyhounds over their livelihood. Nothing but admiration for them.
