If a customer pays the Premium Charge how will a rebate of commission benefit them. Surely their profit will be enhanced but with no commission paid to deduct their Premium Charge will increase in line with the commission rebated?
The offer is actually a rebate of commission rather than a zero commission market – i.e. as a customer you will still pay commission on the market as standard (with all the relevant effects on premium charge) but then you will receive a full rebate / credit to your account of the commission paid.

Are Betfair using Virtual Servers to host their live production environment?
In certain instances, yes.  All of our core betting exchange, database, API and web servers (and certain other services) are physical.

The 'tiering' of the Betfair servers is wrong. How can a web server bottle neck bring down the API Service? Surely these machines are logically and physically separate from each other and should not share the same resources. The issue with our web site did not bring down our API service.  When one of our channels has an issue, we intentionally disable betting across the rest of the channels in order to maintain fairness for all our customers.
