Spurs inexperience cost them. Made 2 muggy mistakes in the first leg and then went to sleep tonight. Bit of the PSGs about them. Just can't get away with it at this level. Strange performance/tactics from Juve in the first leg and then strange from Spurs to just switch off like that in the second half.

Juve are not at the level they were a couple of years back and neither is Buffon who was poor for all 3 Spurs goals, I thought. But once again experience wins out as it always seems to at this stage of the comp. I think City will find that out soon as well despite still being favourites.
Report n88uk March 8, 2018 12:43 AM GMT
Pochettino was outdone imo. Allegri changed the game and Pochettino didn't react at all, when it was clear within minutes. Ironically Allegri made his subs that changed the game about 2 minutes after I said I can't see Juventus scoring 2 in a million years. But as soon as they changed formation it looked a different game and all of a sudden Juventus were looking in the game.

The way Spurs got caught for the second goal was really bad game management at this level too, they are going through with like 23 minutes left and they get caught allowing the opponents best player to wander through the centre of defence clean through on goal? The team needed re-organising after it went 1-1, but instead they looked shell-shocked.
Report Racingqueen March 8, 2018 12:54 AM GMT
well said. Cheap buys have cost them. Tripper and Davies were woeful and shown up. Davies a 24yo was ripped a part for pace by a 34yo wing back. They had a sub left and he left them on. Poch deserves to be questioned

Dier, Trippier and Davies are 3 shocking players
Report betting_masta March 8, 2018 1:28 AM GMT
Pochettino has no plan B. it's Kane or bust.

Dier is absolutely abysmal. shouldn't be playing in a top half premier league. carried by the players around him.

Spurs not enough bite. all nice football, but no one in the middle who wants to make it rough. tippy tappy. their full backs cannot defend. over-achieving due to the manager.

I actually felt both goalkeepers did themselves no real justice across both legs. Nearly all the goals a stronger hand could have saved them in both games.
Report lurka March 8, 2018 1:15 PM GMT
yeah Lloris was shocking for their second, he went clean through and got to about 12 yards out and Lloris was still static only about 2 yards off his line. He got out to about the 6 yard line and then went down v early. No attempt to close to gap and narrow the angle or to stay big.
