Not long before transfer window opens and although Sir Alex Ferguson says he is not a big fan of the January opportunity, he has been known to come up with the odd surprise!

Newspapers say Pepe Reina is a target. True he is unsettled at United but would he move to United knowing the "rumpus" that caused. Also United have earmarked young Anders Lindergaard as the long time successor to Van Der Sar but Reina much better at the moment.

The other name that keeps getting mentioned at Old Trafford is the Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez. I heard that Inter were going to sign him but he is waiting to see if United move for him first. Not sure about truth in this because Antonio Valencia is making a quicker recovery than first thought and I would have thought Sir Alex might be prioritising  a centre half and midfielder but who knows.

Anderson is starting to show a lot more of his undoubted ability but the defence is key for United if they want another title. Sunderland were not great today but United's defence was absolutely solid, unlike much of this season. Anyway we will find out a bit more at Birmingham on Tuesday as they will be tested a lot more by a fresh side with plenty of time to prepare.

Anyway good luck to fans at all clubs in this festive period. It could go a long way to deciding your season.

For United fans looking for a 19th title-  BELIEVE

Alright dan. Imagine if Conte or Mourinho had said what Klopp said post match? There would be pages and pages of posts. He let his mask slip a bit there.

Klopp blames the dry pitch
Said if West Brom were just given set pieces they might not be in the Championship next season
Said the draw was a waste of points as they were no good to West Brom whereas Liverpool needed them
He mus have mentioned West Brom and the Championship a number of times. Are they even relegated yet?

To be fair Liverpool had a few bad decisions but don’t most clubs.

Report peter the butcher April 22, 2018 11:17 PM BST
Yep fair enough mover. If I’m honest I’ve hardly seen much of either City or Liverpool other than in the big matches or highlights. I thought Salah deserved it because he’s had one of those seasons which he’s highly unlikely to ever repeat and he’s dragged Liverpool to where they are.

KDB is a class player and the sort who’s likely to be just as good in the next few seasons. Without him I’m sure City would still be winning the league. I don’t think his comments would have come across too well either.

Which player would I rather have? KDB without any doubt.

Every chance KDB won’t win it next year either as somebody will have a storming one off season to deprive him again

Same thing happened to Scholes.

Look at Aguero, one of the all time scorers in the Premier League and isn’t this the first time in so many years he has actually got into the team of the year?
Report REDUNDANT PUNTER April 22, 2018 11:22 PM BST
There’s always the chance a standout player will emerge in a season and if he’s a goalscorer then he’s likely to be at the forefront of most people’s mind
Report duffy April 22, 2018 11:30 PM BST
Salah has done it right through and crucially when they faced each other in the CL it was Salah who won the battle, during the past month or so I think KDB's form has slipped from the very high standard it had been to that point.
Report REDUNDANT PUNTER April 22, 2018 11:34 PM BST
I think if your a voter and every time u turn your tv on Salah is the headline all oust every game cos he’s scored it’s hard to ignore kebab might play some superlative passes and the purists may love it

But when every week the same person is scoring it’s just headline making
Report REDUNDANT PUNTER April 22, 2018 11:35 PM BST

Report the_don April 23, 2018 7:26 AM BST
No doubt that Salah has had a great season and has also been consistent with hardly any quiet spells.

But Kebab can consider himself unlucky LaughLaughLaughLaugh
Report the_don April 23, 2018 7:28 AM BST
The most difficult thing is putting it in the back of the net and because of that Salah wins it.
Report the_don April 23, 2018 7:29 AM BST
And he has done it 'on a dry pitch' too to be fair.
Report REDUNDANT PUNTER April 23, 2018 8:23 AM BST
The fact he was relatively cheap compared to some and he had been rejected previously in this league all adds gravitas to what he’s achieved or achieving

He’s come to an attack minded club so I think it’s been a good marriage of styles he’s not a complete unknown but he’s probably been under estimated

He’s a bit of a hybrid recognized as a wide player but one who arrives in the box centrally and both right n left can also head goals but it’s not is strength

The question he will be asked is can he repeat his seasons efforts probably almost impossible but be interesting to view
Report ufcdan April 23, 2018 8:52 AM BST
Bet Salhah is a surprise getting player of the year to Jose ! Total sh1t player thank goodness he got rid of him ! The last thing we need is someone scoring lots of goals

Report anxious April 23, 2018 10:44 AM BST

Report anxious April 23, 2018 10:58 AM BST

Report REDUNDANT PUNTER April 23, 2018 11:02 AM BST
It's an individual award so don't think it matters but if you take that view then it makes his season even more phenomenal I guess
