Whatever you do do not disregard Silverwave. He is expected to run a good race. You can name your price for a place bet on here for small stakes.
His run behind Golden Horn two years ago would give him a great chance here.
Son Cesio is now value e/w at 33/1.
Fox Norton 0+
Special Tiara +4
Sir Valentino +6
Gods Own +7
Simply Ned +8
The top figure is risky of course but the conclusion to be drawn from our figures is that Douvan should be taken on.
What can we lose ?
Special Tiara and Gods Own could make it interesting even if the top one flops. Sir Valentino has been improving too. If his last piece of form was for real he would be further up the list. There is no way of telling if it was but 50/1 is tempting.

I am with Cue Card , Champagne West and Bristol De Mai. I could not get a decent price for Djakadam so I think I will stick.
If I do back another it will be Smad Place as he is over priced on his best efforts .
Tenor Nivernais may have been a fit up.
Vieux Lion Rouge goes up , see GN ratings.
Shantou Flyer goes up provisionally.
Cue Card won nicely in the end but I am bound to say that my heart would not have stood the strain had I laid the odds for money. If it was a case of "final touches" The Gold Cup is his barring a fall. We will see.
If he is back to top form then the running of Shantou Flyer is of interest. Assume for one moment that the Tenor Nivernais form is correct and you have two big improvers coming from the race won by Foxhill something or other. He , therefore , is one to keep an eye on.
Now the bollocks about Cue Card running below par behind Thistlecrack because he made a race of it. Twaddle first class! The same was said about Royal Regatta yesterday. At Kempton Two For Tea made a race of it with both Thistlecrack and Cue Card and ran up to form. Unadulterated crap spoken by cretins who claim to be journalists.
Blaklion ran well but was beaten a long way out. To his credit he put up a fight but the Pipe horse had him well beaten at the line. Blaklion's trainer is not one to leave the big pot on the trial ground. Further improvement can be hoped for. Seeing that he has run to his previous best any small improvement might give him place chances in The Gold Cup.
Champagne West has been taken out of the Ryanair. If it was not a clerical error it might mean that there is increased confidence in his chances. I live in hope , probably, only to die in despair.
