Starts on Sunday with a horrible looking 4km uphill prologue. Overall the profile looks like one for the climbers and stages 5 and 6 next Friday and Saturday should be good fun for those who like to see a lot of climbing. The line up looks as strong as you'd expect for a week long stage race of this significance, but also most teams will use this to fine tune their tour de France teams. Froome, Contador, Aru, Porte, Pinot and Bardet are all here and will be aiming for outright victory. In four of the last five years, the rider who has won this race has gone on to win the Tour.

Froome 9/4
Contador 7/2
Pinot 10/1
Landa 12/1
Aru 14/1
Porte 16/1
Rodriguez 20/1
Bardet 33/1
Yates 40/1
Mollema 50/1
Henao 50/1
Rolland 80/1

Contador shouldn't be on equal time with Froome in stage 2CryCryDevil

love how the Astana riders are able to regain their form mid race

Aru must of had the same tests as Nibali

Froome shrewdly nicked 9 seconds today - only 4 seconds adrift now. Agree about stage 2 btw.

Froome would be on equal time with AC now including the 4" he was robbed in stage 2
Report GoBallistic June 9, 2016 6:53 PM BST
There weren't any 1 second gaps on stage 2

Froome at 5/2 with baldy is one of the best bets you will have this season cycling wise.

To me Froome looks a lot better now compared to this time last year.  Of course he did win the Dauphine and the TDF last year anyway.  He probably fancies another Olympic medal.

Not sure if Froome went full throttle after taking the lead here, but for me Quintana the fav for TdF

He did the Giro so can't think he'd do Giro-Criterium-Tour without a rest.
