Let's hope the Afghan's get to bat first and put in a reasonable effort. It would be a bit of a non-event if India bat first, put on a massive score over two days only for the Afghans to collapse in a heap.

Juce, do you have any useful links for weather watching in India?

I am on the draw at 6.4. Hope India bat first.

Did any of you notice how the Afghani drift from 11.5 to 17 and the draw drift from 6.0 to 6.8 coincided with the start of the Eng/Aus match, then came back into 13 or down to 5.5 when the match finished and the money returned? (Both have since settled towards the middle or longer ends of those ranges.)

draw came down to 5.5?

yr no just updated forecast with 5mm rain on Friday, but removed the 3mm that they had originally forecast. No move in the market.I have cashed out of my draw back.

Maybe the draw will shrink when the market realises India intends to bat until lunch on Day 5 then bowl the Afghans out twice in two sessions.

I had backed the draw at 7.4. Don't see how anything other than rain can give us a better draw price.

Just awoke, had a look at the scorecard and match odds, yep thats why I gave it a wide berth.

Afghans need to set up a 5 matchntest series with Ireland or Zimmers

Now it's five days of nickle-and-diming just to avoid a loss. Knew this match would be a waste of time if India batted first.

I had cashed out of my draw back at 11. 170 red overall. Might lump on India when they start bowling to cover that red, but not overly worried(though my mood may change with 3 more games scheduled for the day)

3.26pm The rain has reduced in intensity. "The lightest drizzle," says George Binoy. "The ground staff have pushed two super soppers on to the field, though I'm not sure how super they are anymore, seem quite ancient. Don't see play resuming for 45 minutes at least."

So I guess we could call them "soppy old things".
