With a dropin pitch, the WACA has become a road. Talk of spicing it up, but I have my doubts that will happen.

A bit of rain possible on the last 2 days, but otherwise dry and hot.

Looks a lot like a draw back to lay over 6.

Why?  You on the wrong end of it?

They went through the process, and made a decision.  Why would a team extremely likely to lose, have their opinion to call the game a draw listened to?  Australia were in their whites happy to play.

If England were 1 wicket down, needing 50 to win, there is no way in fcuk they would suggest to call the game off, they would have been out there in their pads, bats in hand saying what are we waiting for.

Report King of Dubai December 19, 2017 1:18 AM GMT
The Olympic analogy proves my point, not yours!

In 2012 they had home advantage as well as global advantages in finance and infrastructure. That pseudo-success increased funding for the next games. There is also a bias against countries that don't allow women the same opportunities. There were hardly any Russians at Rio 2016 also.

england is failed state - anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.

Stoneman on the BBC website saying that the Aussies are no better than England....the knocks on the head have had more of an effect than I thought Whoops
Report SontaranStratagem December 20, 2017 9:11 PM GMT
Well we're 3-0 down and weve never looked like winning a test so Stoneman is either delusional or toeing the line, whichever it is its pretty pethetic. The bowling has been frustrating more than anything, we look incapable of getting them out unless they are teeing off and get themselves out. Its 5-0 with this current batch of players, no matter who we bring in we wont be winning a test.
Report mafeking December 20, 2017 10:02 PM GMT
not the wisest thing to say when you're 3-0 down but there's a pretty good chance this result will be reversed in 18 months time. the oz collapse in adelaide when it moved around gives you an indication of that

it's still taken 2 phenomenal big 100s from smith to get them in winning positions. even he's fallible when there's lateral movement and the rest of their batting line up doesn't have a scooby when it does anything

Hello Try My Best,

Thank you kindly for your glad tidings X, although it would appear you offer as much charity as Ebenezer Scrooge.

I confess to being unsorry to disappoint you as I will not be at the Chiswick boot fair. Far from trying to raise cash I am spending some of my cricket winnings in a beautiful resort overlooking the Arabiab Sea with palm fringed white sandy beaches almost to myself.

I am sorry but I have not been thinking about you in your pokey bed sit in Earls Court.

Now how about being original for a change and post a comment about cricket, perhaps starting with how you think the wicket might play at the G?

There,'s a good Colonial. Chin chin

Whispering - I really do wish you all the best for a hopefully more prosperous 2018. You have to admit things haven't gone too well for you this year. Please don't do a Reggie Perrin and walk into the Arabian Sea never to be seen again with only your clothes left on the beach. I'm sure you can turn it around this new year and nothing is ever that bad. Just think about what you are saying and doing in the future and I'm sure you can get back the shitload of cash you have given up to your fellow forumites in 2017. Enjoy your holiday, come back refreshed with a new outlook on the great game and I'm sure you will be successful one day. Happy Xmas.
