Why are shaving blades so expensive?

It's the profit that makes them expensive, otherwise they'd be quite reasonable.

i think its tiger woods and roger federers fault personally

to keep pace with electric shavers which are , pound for pound , more expensive than aston martins.

because now you get 5 blades in one razor, in a few years they will have 50 blades and have to be a bodybuilder to lift your razor up

Somebody needs to compete with Gillette,Bic can no longer hold their own

just buy a new shaver, theres always one on sale in the supermarkets. ive got a wilkinson sword quattro, wilkinson sword quattro with the clipper on the end, gillette fusion and a gillette fusion proglide. each time i need a new razor i just get another shaver for a couple of quid (whatevers on offer)

packet of 99p BIC does the trick for me 

Read the 5 blade ones are 10p to make, wouldn't waste my money.

Buying a cheap razor must be the ultimate false economy going, they tear me to shreds.

I have days when I don't feel like shaving too, but it drives me crazy after a couple of days.  Mostly my wife nagging!

Use your girlfriend/wife's razor instead (without them knowing) and you will never have to buy any. By the time they've shaved their legs and their lady garden, it will be blunt enough to use on your face.

my skin wont take it.

i don't really understand how people use them.  its a myth to get people to spend £60 on something they never use again.

In my extremely long life I have tried every razor that has been invented. The expensive 5 blades are a waste of monet and ruin your skin.

I use Gilliette Series Thermal Facial Scrub ( a bit expensive but worth it) Nivea Sensitive Shaving Gel and a Gillette Blue 2 disposable razor. Splash with cold water to close the pores.Result-brilliant smooth, well groomed skin that cannot be improved on.

imho you might as well use a lawnmower on your face as an electric razor.
