A little bit surprised because there was one last big pay day on the table and he could have beaten Joshua and then retired, missed his chance when Joshua was punched out and didn't go in for the kill. Maybe he knows AJ wouldn't make the same mistake twice.

Joshua-Fury is the only heavyweight fight that interests me now.

Is that match a strong possibility ?
Report scandanavian_haven August 3, 2017 12:11 PM BST
Fury says he's retired but that wont last long, but it wouldn't be this year anyhow, he needs his license back and UKAD set a date for to rule on his anti doping charge, then he needs to get fit, it could happen next May.

I can see why hes retired tbh, retiring on back to back defeats would ruin his legacy!
Report GRANTCKING August 3, 2017 12:52 PM BST
he def shouldve won that first fight but just didnt have the hunger and drive to finish AJ off

everyone else getting this annoying screen about the mayweather v conor odds before entering the boxing forum/threads??

Yeah really annoying Grant. KLitschKO era is over. Will be known as a brilliant champion/professional. Just lacked that excitement. Partly down to what era he was fighting in.

He's already retiring on back to back defeats...

Won't change his legacy though.

Laugh of course, totally forgot about the fury fight because it was so long ago! u dont think losing 3 fights in a row would ruin his legacy?
Report n88uk August 4, 2017 3:25 PM BST
No because plenty of legends did it at the end of their careers fighting on too long. He at least lost to top fighters. Some legends lost to average fighters at the end of their career because they went on way too long.

This fight was never going ahead too dangerous
for Eddie so a pay off was necessary.
