Met Nathan at Horsham when he drove TIAA for us in the Cup Sunday.
Had heard all sorts of things about him but he seems a professional kid now, whatever his previous
dramas have been.
Gave the horse every hope, exactly to instructions

If only him & DD could sort out their problems as it nearly cost us a start in the race.
We had borrowed the US cart from Glen, warmed the horse up in it then DD saw it & decided 15 mins before the race that we couldnt have it.......thank god we were able to borrow Kerryns.

Report uncleee January 13, 2011 5:27 AM GMT
master whoever was responsible for that drive needs a good whack, they were c1's, all he had to do was come off pegs and he jogs in..trainer mustn't like winning money
Report themaster007 January 13, 2011 5:39 AM GMT
Uncleee........... You want to watch a nice HOT drive, watch the drive on NZ harness race2 on Monaghan (Dexter Dunn) his relation wins the Race, If in Australia, would have RECEIVED 6 months instantly........ BUT stewards over there are BLIND. Have a look for yourself.

Good move by dasha to stop you using A team cart Jay, made a huge difference to his result seeing as he finished 12.90mtrs in your wake.
Just shows the sort of bloke he is UNWASHED.
Imagine if Jack had a Multi owner gifting him 150 winners a year through his brother like that other GRUB does.
He's scared of his own shadow, and has to resort to petty stuff like the carry on with the sulky, gets other people to fight his battles, as he did when he and the multi got nafun rubbed out for 3 months for something minor.
Glenn obviously trying to be a nice bloke and help you out Jay, and the other brother is just a weak grub and nearly ruins it for you
Report jay peterman January 13, 2011 9:14 AM GMT
It wasnt really a comment on either guy, just unfortunate & disappointing.
Dont know DD other than to say gday but clearly this isnt going away in a hurry.
Must admit I was surprised when I saw the cart but I just assumed they had sorted it out...WRONG

Glen said to Geoff's foreman after the race that it was about time Daryl grew up.
Anyway, credit to Nathan who didnt get involved & also to Greg who found us a cart

Update - HRV Media Statement HRV/Police Investigation

With respect to the actions taken by Victoria Police on 11 January, 2017 where criminal charges were served on harness racing participants, Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) provides the following update.

HRV advises that in response to requests from some of the legal representatives of the relevant individuals, the HRV Stewards have granted an extension of time to Mr Nathan Jack, Ms Amanda Turnbull, Ms Lisa Bartley and Mr Mark Pitt regarding the timeframe by which they are required to provide any submissions addressing why action should not be taken under the Australian Harness Racing Rules (AHRR) against the respective licences of the individuals to participate in the industry.

Any such submissions are now to be provided by 5.00pm on Monday 23 January 2017 and will be given due consideration thereafter prior to any decision being made.

With respect to the Victoria Police investigation, HRV is unable to make any further comment.

Report gardenstar January 25, 2017 10:02 AM GMT
Apparently you can get stood down, transfer ownership 5mins later, and all's ok? Kaplan did it so why not. Cheats just continue to prosper at the trots.
Report Back High Lay Low February 8, 2017 11:15 PM GMT
All four win their appeals and have had their licenses reinstated. Blush
Report henryluca February 9, 2017 7:54 AM GMT
Given the suspension here it may create unrecoverable consequences for the
applicants. We are not satisfied that the need to protect the integrity of the
industry outweighs the damage to the reputation and livelihood of these
applicants. Indeed nor are we satisfied that the integrity of the industry will be
harmed by the continued involvement of these applicants in the sport pending the
outcome of charges.
Accordingly, the decision of the Stewards to suspend all the applicants is stayed.

the most extraordinary, almost unbelievable, statement to condone corruption and cheating that i've ever read. shocking. just like the gallopers, it doesn't just go all the way to the top but beyond that. This statement needs to be headlines on the back pages of every states major daily.... and if 4Corners is fair dinkum should do an article on it.
Harness Racing ??????  .......... What integrity ???????
Report Khan321 February 10, 2017 8:39 AM GMT
My reading is that "stayed" is a very different thing to "dismissed".  To be resumed after the criminal matters are concluded.

Blush... yes, that last word i didn't think about... bit like the recyclables, i've gone off a bit early.
